US Housing Starts Jump 10% in August 2010

According to just released government housing data, US Housing starts jumped about 10% in August of 2010.

 

On the surface these numbers appear encouraging, but if you drill down into them, you'll find that for most of the country's single family home investors, the numbers are still dismal and most of the 10% stated by the government consists of starts on the West Coast and new apartment projects.
